How to Contribute

A community member can contribute to the forum by his/her works in Language, Literature, Culture, Traditions and Religion for overall upliftment. Any positive writeups may be submitted at the email: taikhamyangheritagesociety@gmail.com

  • Prospects of Future Tourism Development at Chalapothar Shyam Gaon (Khamyang Village):-

    • Chala Buddhist Monastery & Cultural Centre is situated in the Tai Khamyang village Viz., Chala Shyam Gaon which is declared as a Model Village under 2018-19 Annual Budget of Assam. Rich Tai Khamyang tradition and culture of Chalapother has always attracted the tourists from different part of the world. There is immense scope for the growth of tourism as well as international relation with neighboring countries especially of South Asia and South East Asia. 

    • Chala Village Sanctuary (Chala Reserve Forest) having abundance flora & fauna is situated in the vicinity of the monastery. It has immense potentials of the growth of eco tourism.

    •  Visitor / Tourists can access the Chala Jnanodaya Library having 4000 books written in English, Assamese, Pali & Tai languages for any research work.

Activities

At Chalapothar Buddhist Monastery and Cultural Centre

All religious and cultural activities of Tai Khmaynag community are performed at the centre with community particaption.
